Data-Driven Control of Infinite Dimensional Systems: Application to a Continuous Crystallizer

Controlling infinite dimensional models remains a challenging task for many practitioners since they are not suitable traditional control design techniques or will result in high-order controller too complex implementation. Therefore, the model need to be reduced an acceptable dimension, which is time-consuming, requires some expertise and may introduce numerical error. This letter tackles of such system, namely continuous crystallizer, compares two different data-driven strategies: first one structured robust technique while other one, called L-DDC, based on Loewner interpolatory framework.
